Process Oriented Training Groups

What gets you in trouble in therapy? Your own system and patterns! This is a nonjudgmental, safe, and warm way to understand your own interpersonal patterns. This is personal development in service of the professional. This is a place where ALL of you is supported: the person and the therapist - so personal lives AND clinical work is all on the table to process. This is a space we co-create in which you can practice new interpersonal skills and learn more about what it takes to be grounded and flexible. It is run like an interpersonal process group: very little structure and you are welcome to bring your WHOLE self in the room.

I train therapists, specifically in this interpersonal way. I was training director at Southwestern University’s Counseling Center for 15 years where I trained Master’s and PhD students in individual and group therapy - helping them learn more about their own system, be more grounded, flexible, and regulated both professionally and personally. I teach from an experiential and interpersonal lens and my groups draw from Yalom, Relational-Cultural Theory, Cultural Humility, Parts work, and Interpersonal Neurobiology. I am warm, attuned, disarming, and find so much joy in this work. My groups are relational, connective, funny, and embrace our full humanity.

Kylin has been an exceptional supervisor in my journey as a therapist. Her guidance and support have been invaluable, especially in the development of my group facilitation skills. After graduate school, I wasn't confident in my group therapy skills and was looking for support. Kylin adeptly recognized my strengths and skillfully utilized them to enhance my counseling skills within the group context. She has an extensive understanding of group dynamics and guided me with a compassionate, inclusive, and attuned approach. Kylin is dedicated to fostering both professional and personal growth in her supervisees and I highly recommend working with her!
